UP ATS arrests Tamil Nadu man over alleged terror network links

Maqsood Ali, a resident of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, was apprehended in a joint operation conducted by the Uttar Pradesh ATS and Tamil Nadu ATS, authorities confirmed on Tuesday. Investigators allege that Ali had been maintaining contact with Pakistani-based hackers and played a key role in establishing encrypted communication channels for individuals suspected of planning terrorist activities.

The arrest follows a multi-agency investigation that revealed Ali's involvement in developing technical infrastructure to facilitate secure communications among terror suspects. According to law enforcement sources, the communication network he created was designed to evade detection by Indian intelligence agencies and law enforcement.
