Speaking at an event in Ayodhya, Pathak pledged that students would not suffer any adverse consequences from the ongoing UGC controversy, signalling the government's commitment to protecting educational interests during the regulatory dispute.
The deputy chief minister used the occasion to launch a sharp attack on the opposition Samajwadi Party, contending that the Yogi Adityanath-led government has prioritized the promotion and preservation of Sanatan culture. He described the current period as one in which traditional Hindu values have reached their peak in the state.
Pathak's remarks come amid broader tensions over university regulations and educational policies in Uttar Pradesh. His statement underscores the state government's dual focus on educational welfare and cultural promotion as central themes of its administration.
