UPSC Civil Services Mains Results Announced; Interview Stage Awaits

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services Main Examination 2026, marking a significant milestone for aspirants pursuing careers in India's premier administrative services.

The main examination, which was conducted between August 21-30, 2026, tested candidates across a range of subjects aligned with the UPSC's comprehensive evaluation framework. With the declaration of results, successful candidates have now qualified for the next phase of the selection process.

Those who have cleared the main examination will now appear for the Personality Test, commonly referred to as the interview round. This stage is a critical component of the UPSC selection process, designed to assess candidates' aptitude, communication skills, and suitability for civil service positions including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS).

The interview round typically evaluates candidates on their knowledge, analytical abilities, and personal attributes deemed essential for administrative and law enforcement roles. The performance in this final stage, combined with results from the preliminary and main examinations, determines the ultimate ranking and selection of candidates for various government positions.

Candidates who have qualified are advised to prepare thoroughly for the upcoming interview stage, which will play a decisive role in their recruitment to India's civil services.
