The Union Public Service Commission has released the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination 2 (CDS 2) for recruitment year 2026. According to the official announcement, a total of 8,956 candidates have qualified to proceed to the interview round of the selection process.
Candidates can access their individual results and detailed information regarding the interview process on the UPSC's official website, upsc.gov.in. The CDS examination is conducted annually to recruit officers for the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as for the Officers Training Academy.
The next phase of the recruitment process will involve interviews, following which successful candidates will undergo medical examinations and other mandatory verification procedures. The final selection will be based on the candidates' performance in the written examination, interview, and medical fitness assessment.
This examination attracted a substantial number of applicants seeking careers in the armed forces. The qualifying candidates represent those who met the required performance benchmarks in their respective categories in the written examination held earlier.
