Urban Company's financial results for the July-September quarter reveal mounting losses amid rapid revenue expansion. The consolidated net loss more than tripled from ₹59.33 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, according to regulatory filings submitted on Friday. Sequential losses also deteriorated, doubling from ₹92.12 crore recorded in the preceding April-June quarter.
The company's operational revenue, however, demonstrated robust growth, climbing 41.4 per cent to ₹537.29 crore from ₹380.03 crore in Q2 FY26. Quarter-on-quarter, revenue expanded by 1.7 per cent, indicating continued demand for its home services offerings across India.
In a bid to strengthen its balance sheet and fund expansion initiatives, Urban Company's board approved a proposal to raise up to ₹2,500 crore through qualified institutional placement of equity shares and convertible securities, subject to shareholder approval. The capital infusion is expected to support growth strategies and operational scaling.
The board also granted in-principle approval to venture into residential air conditioning equipment under its 'Native' brand label. Urban Company cited its existing experience servicing millions of air conditioning units annually as providing insights into market gaps and consumer preferences, positioning it to compete in the air conditioner segment.
