URDANETA CITY – Pangasinan officials have authorized work-from-home arrangements for all teachers in the city on Friday, October 2, as the municipality marks both National Teachers Day and Family Day this year.
Executive Order No. 23, issued Thursday by Mayor Julius Parayno, enables educators to fulfill their responsibilities from their residences rather than reporting to school facilities on the designated day. The measure reflects the city government's recognition of the importance of both professional and family commitments for the teaching workforce.
The work-from-home arrangement applies to all educational institutions operating under Urdaneta City's jurisdiction. Schools are expected to ensure continuity of essential services while accommodating the flexible work schedule authorized by the municipal government.
The directive underscores efforts by local authorities to balance honoring educators' contributions to the community with providing them reasonable work flexibility. The arrangement follows the national observance of Teachers Day, celebrated annually to recognize the vital role educators play in national development and nation-building.
