Ambassador Gor outlined the breadth of bilateral collaboration while addressing a gathering on Monday to commemorate 250 years of American independence. He emphasised that the India-US relationship has matured significantly, with active engagement spanning multiple sectors and creating tangible benefits for both countries.
Defence cooperation has emerged as a cornerstone of the partnership. Gor highlighted the recent Exercise Tarang Shakti conducted at Jodhpur Air Force Station in Rajasthan, which involved more than 500 troops from both nations. Such military exercises underscore the growing interoperability and strategic alignment between Indian and American armed forces.
Beyond defence, the envoy stressed that technology and investment flows represent another vital dimension of the relationship. Companies from both countries are making substantial progress in joint ventures and cross-border investments, creating economic opportunities and fostering innovation across sectors. Healthcare initiatives also feature prominently in the expanding bilateral agenda.
"India and the US have a great relationship, there's so much happening; pick any sector and we're working together in it," Gor said, reflecting the comprehensive nature of current engagement. The envoy's remarks signal continued momentum in strengthening the strategic partnership between New Delhi and Washington across multiple domains.
