US FBI Director Kash Patel announces engagement to country singer Alexis Wilkins

Wilkins, 27, shared a black-and-white photograph showing her standing alongside Patel, 46, with the couple displaying her engagement ring. The post, captioned "Went and got the law involved," was subsequently reposted by Patel. The announcement marks a public acknowledgment of their relationship, which began before Patel assumed his position as head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation earlier this year.

Wilkins is a country music artist and political commentator who released her debut album in 2023. According to her official website, she describes her musical approach as one that "honors country tradition while adding relevance and current commentary." The artist has maintained affiliations with conservative organizations and has performed at various public events.

Patel's appointment as FBI Director in 2025 made headlines, and the couple's relationship has drawn public attention in part due to Patel's use of government aircraft for various travel. In one instance, the FBI director utilized a Bureau jet to travel to State College, Pennsylvania, for a pro wrestling event where Wilkins performed the national anthem. The travel arrangements prompted questions about the official nature and purpose of such government-funded journeys.
