US intelligence sharing with Ukraine remained uninterrupted, Rubio says

The top US diplomat rejected characterizations that Washington had suspended or reduced intelligence assistance to Ukraine, underscoring the continuation of critical data flows that help Ukrainian forces track incoming Russian ballistic missiles.

Ukraine depends heavily on US intelligence capabilities, including access to Starshield satellite imagery and reconnaissance data, to provide early warning of fast-moving Russian missile strikes targeting cities and infrastructure. The intelligence stream has been instrumental in helping Ukrainian air defense systems respond to attacks.

Rubio's statement came amid ongoing discussions about the scope and continuity of American military and intelligence support for Ukraine's defense against Russian aggression. The clarification aims to reassure Kyiv that the flow of vital intelligence remains consistent.

The US has maintained that its commitment to supporting Ukraine's war effort includes sustained intelligence sharing as a cornerstone of the assistance package, complementing military aid and financial support provided since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022.
