US woman disputes deep cleaning service over incomplete work, seeks refund
A Michigan resident is demanding a $250 refund after a $350 deep cleaning service left dishes, walls and baseboards uncleaned. The cleaning company has offered only $100 in compensation.

Kimberly Kemper of Michigan has lodged a complaint against a local cleaning service after paying $350 for a deep clean that she says fell short of expectations. According to Kemper, dishes, walls and baseboards were left dirty following the service, and the cleaner failed to return for a promised re-cleaning to rectify the issues.
Kemper is now seeking a $250 refund to account for the substandard work. The business owner, Cecilia Bodart, has disputed the full refund demand and offered $100 instead, citing what she believes was adequate compensation for the service rendered.
Bodart acknowledged poor communication between herself and the client but maintained that the work completed justified the original $350 charge. The disagreement highlights ongoing tensions in the service industry over quality standards and customer expectations in home cleaning services.
The dispute remains unresolved, with both parties at odds over the appropriate compensation for the contested service.
