US Woman Survives Year-Long Poisoning Campaign by Former Colleague

A woman in the United States endured a prolonged poisoning campaign spanning 18 months, during which her health deteriorated significantly before the plot was uncovered. Investigators discovered evidence on security camera footage showing her ex-colleague deliberately administering poison, leading to the suspect's arrest and charges in connection with the attempted murder case.

The victim's condition worsened gradually over the extended period, with medical professionals eventually connecting her mysterious illness to external poisoning rather than an underlying disease. The discovery was made possible after reviewing surveillance recordings that captured the accused in the act of tampering with the victim's food or beverages on multiple occasions.

Authorities have launched a formal investigation into the case, working to establish motive and timeline of events. The incident highlights concerns about workplace safety and interpersonal conflicts that can escalate to criminal acts. The victim, who survived the ordeal, is receiving ongoing medical treatment to address the effects of prolonged toxic exposure.
