Uttar Pradesh Businessman Dies After Social Media Row Turns Violent

Vinod Sahni, a kitchenware merchant based in Gonda district, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow. The attack on Sahni occurred following a confrontation that escalated from an online dispute on social media platforms.

According to initial reports, tensions arose between Sahni and a group of individuals over a social media post. The dispute quickly escalated into a physical assault, with multiple attackers surrounding and assaulting the businessman. Sahni sustained serious injuries during the incident and was subsequently admitted to KGMU for emergency medical care.

Despite receiving medical attention at the state-run medical facility, Sahni's condition deteriorated, and he was pronounced dead during treatment. The circumstances surrounding his death have prompted local authorities to launch a criminal investigation.

Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the attack. Investigations are ongoing to determine the precise sequence of events and the motivations behind the assault.
