Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Releases Scholarship Funds for 460,000 Students

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday formally launched the transfer of scholarship funds and tuition fee reimbursements to hundreds of thousands of eligible students in the state. The initiative will channel over Rs 148 crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 460,000 beneficiaries.

The scholarship distribution programme was formally initiated at a state-level event organised in the state capital, Lucknow. The funds represent the government's commitment to supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and promoting educational access across the state.

The scheme aims to reduce financial barriers to education and enable students to pursue their studies without interruption. By electronically transferring the funds, the state government has sought to ensure transparent and efficient delivery of financial assistance directly to beneficiaries.

This latest tranche of scholarship disbursements adds to Uttar Pradesh's ongoing efforts to strengthen its social welfare apparatus and expand educational opportunities for marginalised sections of society. State officials indicated that the distribution process would continue to reach all eligible candidates in accordance with the programme's guidelines.
