Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya on Tuesday, offering prayers at the Ram Lalla temple and Hanuman Garhi shrine after attending the city's grand lamp festival. Following his temple visit, Adityanath visited a dalit settlement near Ramghat Halt where he joined residents in celebrating the festival and distributed gifts among community members.
The Chief Minister's visit to the dalit neighbourhood underscored the administration's emphasis on inclusive development. During his time there, Adityanath stated that the state government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance model, is ensuring that welfare schemes reach the most marginalised sections of society.
Ayodhya has emerged as a major celebration hub during the Diwali season following the consecration of the Ram Mandir earlier this year. The Chief Minister's participation in both ceremonial observances and grassroots community engagement reflects the state government's approach to connecting religious and social welfare activities during major festivals.
