Uttar Pradesh CM surveys flood-hit Kushinagar, distributes relief supplies

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an on-ground assessment of flood-ravaged areas in Kushinagar district on Tuesday, surveying damage caused by rising water levels and damaged embankments that have displaced thousands of residents.

During the visit, the Chief Minister met with flood-affected families who have lost homes and livelihoods to the deluge. He directed officials to coordinate relief operations and ensure adequate supplies reach displaced persons across the district.

Relief materials including food supplies, drinking water, and emergency provisions were distributed among residents affected by the flooding. The visit came as water levels remained elevated in multiple rivers traversing the district, forcing authorities to maintain alert status.

State officials accompanying the Chief Minister reviewed the integrity of embankments and assessed restoration needs across the flood-impacted regions. The administration has mobilized resources to provide temporary shelter and medical assistance to displaced families in affected communities.
