Uttar Pradesh has reinforced security measures following planned demonstrations in Delhi, deploying additional police personnel across multiple districts. State authorities have dispatched extra forces from 20 districts across the state, ranging from Meerut to Etah, to augment security in the national capital. The deployment includes 500 women constables as part of the coordinated response.
In parallel with the Delhi-bound deployment, Uttar Pradesh has stepped up surveillance at railway stations statewide to monitor potential mass movement. Officials have intensified screening procedures at major transport terminals, with particular attention focused on Lucknow railway station where passenger baggage scanning has been increased.
The preventive measures reflect efforts to maintain public order during the anticipated demonstrations in Delhi. State authorities have coordinated with their counterparts in the national capital to ensure adequate security infrastructure ahead of the protests, with railway stations designated as key monitoring points given their role in facilitating inter-state travel.
