Uttar Pradesh marks PM Modi's birthday with religious and cultural events

Various commemorative events marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday across Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, drawing significant public participation. In Prayagraj, organisers arranged a special screening of the film 'Hanuman Ansh' as part of the celebrations. The initiative reflected efforts to blend popular culture with the occasion.

In Unchahaar, a village in Raebareli district, the birthday observance took on a distinctly religious character. According to event organisers, more than 500,000 devotees participated in a collective recitation of the Mahamrityunjaya mantra, a Sanskrit prayer traditionally associated with health and longevity. Organisers claimed the gathering achieved over 1.25 crore collective chantings of the sacred mantra.

The varied nature of celebrations across the state—from entertainment-focused events in major cities to large-scale spiritual gatherings in rural areas—demonstrated the wide-ranging appeal of the birthday observance among different communities and demographics in Uttar Pradesh.
