Uttar Pradesh politician displays over 500 weapons in ritual ceremony

Kunda Member of the Legislative Assembly Raja Bhaiya performed the ritual weapons consecration at Benti Raj Bhavan in Pratapgarh district on the occasion of Vijayadashami, a significant day in the Hindu calendar marking the victory of good over evil.

Dressed in traditional attire comprising a dhoti, kurta, and saffron turban, Raja Bhaiya participated in the ceremony accompanied by Vedic chanting. The ritual, known as Shastra Puja, involves the blessing of weapons and is observed by various communities across India.

Organizers of the event arranged over 500 weapons for display during the ceremony, including both Indian and foreign-made arms. The extensive collection represented various types of weaponry accumulated over time.

Raja Bhaiya, a prominent political figure in the Uttar Pradesh region, has previously drawn attention for similar displays during community and religious observances. The Vijayadashami ceremony is traditionally marked by such ritual activities across many parts of northern India, where weapons are worshipped as symbols of strength and protection.
