Uttar Pradesh raises daily allowance for paramilitary personnel to ₹600

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a hike in daily allowances for personnel of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), effective immediately. The increase raises the daily stipend from ₹500 to ₹600, providing relief to the paramilitary force's workforce.

The enhanced allowance forms part of a broader welfare package for PAC jawans. In addition to the daily allowance increase, the force members will now be eligible for cashless medical treatment capped at ₹5 lakh annually at both government and private healthcare facilities across the state.

The decision reflects the state government's commitment to improving conditions for its paramilitary personnel, who play a critical role in maintaining law and order. The cashless medical coverage is expected to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for jawans and their families during health emergencies.
