Uttar Pradesh to recruit over 100,000 youth in government jobs: CM
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the state would provide government employment to more than one lakh youth over the next six months. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday pledged an accelerated recruitment drive for state government positions, committing to fill more than 100,000 vacancies within the next half-year. The statement was made at an event in Lucknow where 818 candidates received appointment letters for various departmental posts selected through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) and Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).
"Over the next six months, we are going to provide government jobs to more than one lakh young people," Adityanath said, addressing concerns about delays in previous recruitment cycles. The chief minister's remarks appeared to reference administrative issues under the previous Samajwadi Party government, without naming any specific individuals.
The announcement underscores the state government's focus on addressing unemployment among youth in India's most populous state. The recruitment drive represents a significant shift in pace from earlier recruitment processes, which had faced delays and administrative hurdles.
