Vadilal Industries delivered a strong operational performance in the second quarter, as the ice cream manufacturer posted a net profit of Rs 54.8 crore, up 64.1% from the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter reached Rs 463 crore, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 35.4%.

The company's profitability gains were underpinned by improved operational efficiency. EBITDA margin, a key metric of operational performance, expanded to 18.2% from 15.5% in the year-ago quarter, indicating better cost management and pricing power in a competitive market.

The results underline Vadilal's growth trajectory during the second quarter, typically a strong season for ice cream consumption in India. The significant jump in both top-line and bottom-line figures suggests the company has benefited from rising demand and stronger market positioning.

The improvement in margins alongside revenue growth indicates that Vadilal has successfully managed input cost pressures while expanding its sales footprint. The quarter's performance comes as the ice cream sector continues to show resilience in India's growing consumer goods market.
