Vegetation fire in Bukit Panjang contained, no casualties reported

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) attended to a vegetation fire in an open grass patch in Bukit Panjang on Tuesday afternoon. The blaze involved plant matter spanning roughly 30 metres by 20 metres.

Responders swiftly mobilised to the scene and brought the fire under control. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the fire. The SCDF continues to advise residents to exercise caution when in proximity to vegetation and to report any signs of fire immediately by calling the emergency hotline.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety awareness, particularly during periods of dry weather when vegetation becomes more susceptible to ignition.
