Vehicle collision snarls traffic on NLEx Marilao northbound exit

MANILA — Motorists traveling northbound on the North Luzon Expressway experienced substantial delays Thursday after a vehicle collision disrupted traffic flow at the Marilao exit, authorities said.

The NLEx Corporation documented the traffic buildup in its morning advisory, noting that congestion stretched for roughly 4.7 kilometers along the northbound lane near the Marilao interchange. The accident forced authorities to manage traffic manually in the affected section as crews worked to clear the roadway.

The incident added to typical morning rush-hour congestion on one of Metro Manila's major transport arteries. Commuters using the NLEx during the morning hours were advised to expect delays and consider alternative routes where possible.

The NLEx Corporation did not immediately provide details on the cause of the collision or whether there were reported injuries. The expressway operator urged drivers to exercise caution and maintain safe speeds in the area as clearing operations continued.
