Venus transit to impact Karva Chauth shopping; auspicious dates emerge

The forthcoming Karva Chauth celebration in 2026 will coincide with planetary movements that are influencing shopping plans across India. The Panchak period, during which five consecutive lunar days are considered inauspicious for major purchases, concludes on the evening of October 25, providing an important demarcation for festival preparations.

The transit of Venus has raised concerns among observant families about selecting propitious times for acquiring traditional bridal and festive merchandise. Shopping during planetary transits has long been considered significant in Hindu tradition, with specific periods designated as more favorable than others for commercial transactions.

Astrological consultants have recommended that shoppers identify auspicious dates immediately following the completion of the Panchak period to acquire essential items for the festival. The period following October 25 presents multiple favorable windows for purchasing the traditional wedding and festive articles typically associated with Karva Chauth observances.

Devotees planning to celebrate Karva Chauth are advised to plan their shopping schedules around both the celestial events and traditional auspicious timings to ensure their preparations align with customary practices. This coordination between astronomical events and festival preparations remains an integral aspect of how many Indian families approach seasonal celebrations.
