Veteran Sabah politician Karim Bujang passes away

Karim Bujang, a prominent figure in Sabah's political landscape for more than two decades, has passed away. The veteran politician served as assemblyman for the Bongawan constituency, one of the state's key electoral divisions, throughout an extended tenure that spanned from 1990 to 2013.

During his 23 years representing Bongawan, Bujang established himself as a significant voice in the Sabah State Assembly. His lengthy period in office reflected sustained support from constituents in the district, which is located in the state's northern region.

Bujang's departure from the assembly in 2013 marked the end of a substantial political career. His death removes another link to an earlier generation of Sabah's political leadership, leaving behind a legacy spanning more than two decades of legislative service.
