Vietjet launches Ca Mau-Hanoi service with thrice-weekly flights

Vietjet Air has commenced operations on a new Ca Mau-Hanoi route, marking a significant milestone for the recently reopened Ca Mau Airport. The airline will operate the service with scheduled flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, utilizing Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft configured to accommodate 180 to 186 passengers per flight.

The route is designed to serve a diverse passenger base, including both domestic travelers and international visitors seeking access to Ca Mau province. The expanded air connectivity is expected to support tourism development and business activities in the region, which has been positioning itself as an emerging economic hub in the Mekong Delta.

The launch follows Ca Mau Airport's reopening on November 29 after a year-long upgrade and expansion program. The facility's modernization has enhanced capacity and infrastructure to accommodate regular commercial operations, enabling airlines like Vietjet to introduce new regional routes.

Ca Mau province has been pursuing multiple development initiatives, including a substantial wind power project valued at approximately 154.7 million USD and various business expansion programs. The improved air connectivity is anticipated to complement these economic initiatives and strengthen the province's integration into broader regional markets.
