Vietjet Air has begun flying between Prague and Hanoi, expanding the Vietnamese carrier's European network and providing a new transportation link between the Czech Republic and Vietnam. The route operates twice weekly, with services departing on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Flights utilize Airbus A330-300 wide-body aircraft configured to accommodate 377 passengers. From Prague, aircraft depart at 8:55 p.m., arriving in Hanoi at 4:20 p.m. the following day in local time. Return flights from Hanoi depart at 8:25 a.m., landing in Prague at 6:55 p.m. the same evening.
All services include a scheduled stop in Almaty, Kazakhstan, as part of the routing. The addition of the Prague-Hanoi service reflects growing air connectivity between Central Europe and Southeast Asia, accommodating both leisure and business travelers seeking connections between the regions.
The launch comes as Vietnam and the Czech Republic deepen bilateral cooperation across education, science, and technology sectors, with increased people-to-people exchanges supporting economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
