Vietjet and Satair have deepened their partnership to strengthen supply chain management and operational efficiency across the Vietnamese airline's operations. The collaboration expands on the foundation of the Integrated Material Services (IMS) programme, which currently manages materials support for Vietjet's Airbus fleet.
Under the expanded partnership, the two companies will focus on broadening materials management solutions while implementing advanced digital technologies to optimize resource allocation. The initiative aims to enhance operational performance and build greater resilience against supply chain disruptions—a key concern for airlines navigating post-pandemic aviation recovery and geopolitical uncertainties affecting global logistics networks.
The partnership reflects Vietjet's strategy to modernize its operational infrastructure as it expands its fleet and route network. By leveraging Satair's expertise in aviation supply chain management alongside Vietjet's operational requirements, the collaboration seeks to create efficiencies that support the airline's growth objectives while maintaining service reliability.
The move comes as Vietjet continues to expand internationally, having recently launched new European routes and invested in connectivity enhancements such as in-flight Wi-Fi services. Strengthening supply chain resilience remains critical for maintaining operational continuity amid evolving industry challenges.
