The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee formally adopted Resolution No. 31-NQ/TW on October 15, 2026, following deliberations at the fourth meeting of the 14th Party Central Committee. The resolution centers on intensifying the party's internal building and rectification processes to establish a cleaner and stronger political apparatus capable of addressing Vietnam's evolving development requirements.
The resolution creates new mechanisms designed to support the country's small and medium-sized enterprises, signaling the party's commitment to economic growth alongside political strengthening. Concurrently, the National Assembly has put forward a draft resolution proposing special mechanisms aimed at attracting and retaining talent within Vietnam, reflecting broader efforts to enhance human resource capacity across sectors.
Beyond domestic initiatives, the resolution incorporates strategies to harness resources and capabilities of the Vietnamese diaspora, particularly the community in Canada. This outward-focused approach underscores the party's recognition of the role Vietnamese overseas communities can play in supporting national development objectives and maintaining cultural and economic ties with the homeland.
