The Vietnamese and Italian governments have outlined an enhanced framework for bilateral cooperation, moving forward with implementation of a joint action plan designed to strengthen ties across multiple sectors. The agreement reflects both nations' commitment to advancing their strategic partnership while maintaining their distinct international positions and cultural identities.

Defense and security cooperation represents a key pillar of the expanded partnership, alongside collaborative initiatives in science, technology, and innovation. The two countries aim to leverage their complementary strengths to address shared challenges and create new opportunities for mutual benefit in these critical areas.

Local-level engagement has emerged as an important dimension of the Vietnam-Italy relationship, with recent conferences between Genoa and Da Nang serving to deepen cooperation between regional authorities and communities. This grassroots approach complements central government efforts to strengthen the overall bilateral relationship.

Vietnam has also signaled interest in intensifying economic and business connections with northern Italian enterprises. The outreach seeks to tap into the region's manufacturing expertise and industrial capabilities, opening additional channels for trade and investment cooperation between the two nations.
