Vietnam and Japan deepen judicial cooperation on intellectual property

Officials from Vietnam's judiciary have welcomed increased engagement with Japanese counterparts to advance understanding of legal systems and judicial practices across both countries.

Hoang Ngoc Thanh, Chief Judge of the People's Court of Hanoi - Region 2, emphasized that bilateral working sessions create valuable opportunities for sharing practical experience in judicial administration. He noted that such exchanges foster deeper mutual understanding of the legal frameworks and procedural approaches governing intellectual property cases in Vietnam and Japan.

The judicial cooperation underscores broader momentum in the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which extends across multiple sectors including technology and economic development. Officials have stressed that trust and institutional collaboration remain essential pillars supporting the partnership's growth.

These judicial exchanges are expected to enhance capacity in both nations' court systems and facilitate more effective resolution of cross-border intellectual property disputes. The initiatives reflect both countries' commitment to strengthening rule of law and legal predictability within their growing commercial and technological relationship.
