Vietnam and Tajikistan have agreed to bolster their diplomatic relationship through increased high-level visits and regular meetings between government delegations, according to statements from both nations' foreign ministries.
Under the accord, the two countries' foreign ministries will serve as coordinating bodies to facilitate engagement between their respective government agencies, ministries and local authorities. This institutional framework is designed to accelerate the expansion of economic partnerships and investment flows between Hanoi and Dushanbe.
Both sides emphasize that their cooperation framework will capitalize on the economic complementarities of the two nations. Officials indicated that enhanced trade and investment linkages could unlock new opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs in both countries, while supporting broader development objectives.
The agreement reflects Vietnam's long-standing commitment to strengthening ties with Central Asian nations. As part of this broader engagement strategy, Vietnam has also pursued deepened cooperation with other countries in the region, including Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, exploring partnerships in agriculture, technology and infrastructure development.
