Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang and UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Indo-Pacific Rosalie Winterton co-chaired the dialogue on November 3, signalling high-level engagement between the two countries. The discussion underscored mutual interest in elevating their comprehensive strategic partnership across multiple domains.
Economic cooperation featured prominently in talks, with both sides emphasizing the need to attract quality investment and develop high-value sectors. Officials identified opportunities to deepen commercial ties that would benefit Vietnam's economic development while providing British investors with access to Southeast Asian markets.
Education and research emerged as another priority area, with Vietnam and the UK agreeing to expand cooperation in vocational training and theoretical research initiatives. Such collaboration is expected to build human capital and foster knowledge exchange between academic and professional institutions in both nations.
Beyond official channels, the dialogue highlighted the importance of strengthening people-to-people connections. Both delegations recognized that sustained cultural and social exchanges would provide a foundation for long-term partnership and mutual understanding between Vietnamese and British communities.
