Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister has endorsed proposals from the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding holiday schedules for the coming years, according to official Document No. 10065/VPCP-KGVX. The approval establishes a one-day holiday for Vietnamese Culture Day in 2026, allowing citizens and visitors to observe the cultural commemoration.

More significantly, the government has confirmed a seven-day Tet holiday period for 2027, aligning with the traditional Lunar New Year celebrations that mark the most important festival in the Vietnamese calendar. Additionally, a four-day holiday has been approved for National Day observances in 2027, providing extended time for public festivities and family gatherings.

The advanced announcement of holiday schedules allows businesses, travel operators, and citizens to plan ahead for major celebrations. Tourism authorities have indicated that the extended holiday periods are expected to stimulate domestic and international travel, benefiting hotels, restaurants, and cultural attractions across the country.

The holiday framework reflects Vietnam's efforts to balance economic development with cultural preservation, enabling citizens to celebrate national heritage while supporting the tourism industry's growth objectives.
