Vietnam, China to strengthen legislative ties and community bonds
Vietnam's National Assembly President Tran Thanh Man met with senior Chinese Communist Party officials in Beijing this week to discuss expanding cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies. The visit also included outreach to the Vietnamese diaspora in China.

National Assembly President Tran Thanh Man held talks with Wang Huning, a senior member of China's Communist Party leadership, during an official visit to Beijing on October 11. Wang Huning, who serves as both a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, discussed avenues for deepening legislative and institutional exchanges between Vietnam and China.
During his Beijing tour, Tran Thanh Man visited the Nanmofang township legislative liaison station in the capital's Chaoyang district, reviewing operations at the office that facilitates legislative cooperation between the two nations.
The NA President also met with members of the Vietnamese community residing in China, emphasizing the importance of maintaining unity and contributing to Vietnam's development. The outreach reflected efforts to strengthen people-to-people connections alongside official government ties.
The visit underscores Vietnam and China's commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, from legislative affairs to community engagement, amid broader efforts to deepen ties between the neighboring socialist nations.
