Vietnam's National Assembly President attended the inauguration of completed projects at Tan Trao special national historical site in Tuyen Quang province, underscoring the government's commitment to preserving revolutionary heritage while promoting regional tourism.
The centrepiece of the development is a 9.2-kilometre revolutionary road connecting Tan Trao and Trung Yen, constructed at a total cost of 300 billion Vietnamese dong (approximately 12.7 million US dollars) funded from the central budget. Despite working under difficult conditions and challenging terrain, construction teams completed the project in less than 11 months after breaking ground in December 2025, ahead of schedule.
The infrastructure investment is part of Tuyen Quang's broader strategy to leverage its historical significance and natural assets to develop tourism. Recent initiatives have included participation in Vietnam-China international trade fairs and cross-border cooperation agreements with China's Wenshan prefecture to attract visitors from both nations.
Tan Trao holds particular importance in Vietnam's revolutionary history, making it a focal point for heritage preservation efforts. The completion of the road is expected to improve accessibility to the site and support increased visitor numbers, particularly during peak tourism seasons and national holiday celebrations.
