Vietnam International Defence Expo 2026 is shaping up to be a major gathering for the region's defence sector, with organisers reporting strong international interest ahead of the event. The expo will feature exhibitors showcasing weapons systems, military equipment, and defence technologies from Vietnam's armed forces and public security agencies, alongside international defence manufacturers and suppliers.

Preparations for the expo are accelerating, with 128 companies from 31 countries already registered as exhibitors, bringing the total participant count to 189 entities representing 36 nations. The diversity of participating countries underscores the growing appeal of Vietnam's defence marketplace and the nation's role as a hub for regional security cooperation.

The expo will serve as a platform for displaying cutting-edge defence capabilities and emerging military technologies. Organisers expect the event to facilitate knowledge exchange and foster business partnerships within the global defence industry, particularly among Asia-Pacific nations.

Vietnam's participation in international defence exhibitions has expanded in recent years. Vietnamese defence delegations have actively engaged at major global showcases, including recent attendances at international defence and security expos, reflecting Hanoi's growing involvement in the international defence community and its commitment to military modernisation.
