Vietnam's Central Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Education and Culture (CVCEC) has launched an initiative to interconnect previously fragmented Vietnamese language classes across Canada, according to officials implementing the Communist Party's Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW on overseas Vietnamese affairs.

The program aims to consolidate scattered educational resources and expand access to Vietnamese language instruction for young people in the diaspora. By integrating technology with classroom cooperation, the initiative addresses longstanding challenges in delivering consistent language education across geographically dispersed communities.

The expansion reflects Vietnam's broader strategy to strengthen connections between the homeland and its overseas population. Beyond language education, Vietnamese officials have signaled intent to mobilize diaspora expertise in emerging fields, including artificial intelligence development and technological advancement.

Official statements indicate the government views overseas Vietnamese communities as repositories of valuable talent and resources. The language education initiative is framed as one component of a comprehensive approach to harness diaspora contributions while reinforcing cultural identity among second and third-generation Vietnamese Canadians.
