Vietnam, France deepen ties in advanced manufacturing and sustainable development
Vietnam and France are moving to translate high-level political commitments into concrete partnerships across industrial technology, clean energy, and intellectual property protection. The bilateral engagement includes planned economic forums and a series of cultural and business events scheduled for late October.

Vietnam and France are expanding cooperation across key economic sectors, with Phu Tho province leading efforts to attract French investment in high-technology manufacturing. Provincial authorities are targeting collaboration in supporting industries, electronics components, precision mechanics, automation, advanced materials, and semiconductor production—all underpinned by research and development initiatives and technology transfer arrangements with local suppliers.
Infrastructure and environmental sustainability form a second pillar of the partnership. Vietnam seeks French expertise in developing eco-industrial parks, logistics facilities, and modern waste management systems. Priority areas include energy efficiency improvements and wastewater recycling projects that align with regional green growth objectives.
Beyond industrial cooperation, both nations are strengthening intellectual property frameworks. Officials from Vietnam and France have begun exchanging experience and best practices in resolving intellectual property disputes, reflecting growing commercial ties requiring robust legal protections.
Diplomatic momentum is accelerating with Vietnam Days in France scheduled for October 24–30, providing a platform for business delegations, cultural exchanges, and formal discussions on deepening bilateral ties. The initiative underscores efforts by both governments to translate policy-level agreements into sustainable economic partnerships across multiple sectors.
