Vietnam, Greece deepen ties through cultural and economic cooperation

Vietnam's Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong has promoted Vietnamese cultural heritage and agricultural products in Greece, signaling renewed momentum in the bilateral relationship. The diplomatic engagement reflects efforts to broaden cooperation beyond traditional channels, with particular emphasis on subnational partnerships between Phu Tho province and Greek municipalities.

The discussions identified several priority areas for joint development, including the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, educational exchanges, and labour cooperation. Both sides expressed interest in leveraging these sectors to deepen mutual understanding and create concrete benefits for their respective populations.

Trade and logistics featured prominently in the dialogue, with Vietnamese agricultural products gaining increased visibility in the Greek market. The focus on agricultural cooperation aligns with Vietnam's export diversification strategy and Greece's interest in sourcing quality products from reliable regional partners.

The engagement also touched on labour mobility, with Greece exploring opportunities to recruit Vietnamese workers for sectors facing skills shortages. Such arrangements are expected to benefit Vietnamese nationals seeking overseas employment while addressing labour market gaps in Greece.
