Greek companies operating across manufacturing and industrial sectors have lauded the work ethic and capabilities of Vietnamese employees, signalling renewed interest in expanding the labour workforce from Vietnam. Business representatives emphasised the intelligence and diligence demonstrated by Vietnamese workers, describing them as valuable assets to their operations.
To facilitate this expansion, both Vietnam and Greece are pursuing formal cooperation mechanisms to address existing procedural barriers that currently limit recruitment flows. Officials from both countries recognise that streamlined administrative processes could unlock significant employment opportunities for Vietnamese workers seeking positions in Greek factories and related industries.
The labour dialogue forms part of broader efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations. Beyond employment initiatives, Vietnam and Greece have also been engaged in cultural and commercial exchanges, including promotional activities showcasing Vietnamese tea and culinary traditions to Greek audiences.
Both governments have indicated commitment to negotiating formal labour agreements that would establish clearer pathways for worker recruitment, skills recognition, and employment protections. Such arrangements could benefit Vietnamese workers through legitimate employment channels while addressing labour shortages experienced by Greek employers in key industrial sectors.
