The 10 inaugural members of VIFC-Ho Chi Minh City represent a significant milestone for the financial hub's development, bringing combined registered charter capital and committed capital contributions totalling $33.63 million. The founding members signal early confidence in the centre's investment proposition as it establishes itself on the global financial landscape.
The centre's membership structure is designed to attract foreign investment across key economic sectors. The founding members' diverse capital commitments underpin plans to develop and finance projects spanning critical areas including infrastructure development, educational initiatives, energy transition, technology innovation and financial services expansion.
VIFC-Ho Chi Minh City has been gradually building its position as a regional financial hub, with officials previously outlining opportunities to attract international capital and investment flows. The financial centre is preparing to operationalize transactions, with trading activities expected to commence in November, marking the transition from establishment to active trading operations.
The announcement of the founding member cohort reflects confidence from both domestic and international investors in Vietnam's financial services development strategy. The centre's initial membership demonstrates momentum as it works to establish itself as a credible alternative financial hub in Southeast Asia.
