The "Dialogue" exhibition will run from November 8-11 in Kanagawa prefecture, presenting a significant cultural exchange between the two countries. Vietnamese artists will account for 26 of the more than 30 works on display, representing a substantial portion of the curated collection.
The Vietnamese sculptors participating in the exhibition represent different generations of contemporary artists who have each carved distinctive artistic identities within Vietnam's modern art landscape. Their inclusion in this Japan-based platform underscores growing recognition of Vietnamese contemporary sculpture on the regional stage.
The exhibition aligns with broader efforts to strengthen bilateral cultural and educational ties between Vietnam and Japan. Recent high-level discussions have emphasized expanding cooperation in human resources development and technology transfer, with cultural exchange initiatives serving as important components of this engagement.
The event reflects a wider pattern of Vietnam-Japan collaboration that extends beyond artistic domains. Earlier this year, peace-focused cultural programs and scientific research partnerships have further deepened connections between the nations, contributing to a foundation of mutual understanding and shared values.
