Vietnam's National Assembly is prioritizing legal reforms to accelerate digital economy expansion, with lawmakers emphasizing the need to eliminate structural obstacles hindering growth in the sector.
Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung outlined the government's comprehensive approach, stating that draft amendments to four laws are designed to institutionalize Party policies while addressing longstanding legal barriers. The proposed changes target administrative simplification, expanded decentralization of authority, and improved business conditions.
The legislative package reflects broader efforts by policymakers to create a more transparent and efficient regulatory environment. Lawmakers have simultaneously pressed for measures addressing power pricing transparency and cost controls, signaling a multi-faceted approach to economic modernization.
Parallel discussions in parliament have focused on strengthening judicial reform through Penal Code amendments aimed at enhancing crime prevention mechanisms. Legislators have also called for strategic growth initiatives targeting a breakthrough in 2027, with measurable results established as the primary benchmark for success.
The combined legislative agenda underscores Vietnam's commitment to structural economic reforms necessary for competing in the digital-driven regional economy.
