Vietnam's National Assembly has turned its focus to dismantling legal barriers that are impeding the country's digital economy expansion during its second session. Lawmakers have emphasized the urgency of streamlining regulations to create a more favorable business environment and accelerate technological advancement across the nation.
A centerpiece of the legislative agenda is the revised law on Compulsory Purchase and Requisition of Property. The comprehensive framework comprises four chapters and 32 articles designed to clarify procedures for property acquisition, define the scope and responsibilities of State agencies, and establish the rights and protections afforded to property owners. The reforms aim to provide greater legal certainty for both government bodies and citizens.
Legislators are also working to establish more transparent and consistent criteria governing administrative processes, including organ allocation procedures. These efforts reflect a broader commitment to enhancing governance transparency and reducing bureaucratic inefficiencies that have historically constrained economic activity.
The focus on legal reform signals the Assembly's recognition that regulatory modernization is essential to Vietnam's development strategy. By addressing institutional bottlenecks and clarifying existing procedures, policymakers hope to create conditions necessary for sustained economic growth and technological innovation.
