Prime Minister Le Minh Hung outlined the advances in a socio-economic report delivered to the second session of the 16th National Assembly, highlighting how scientific breakthroughs and digital solutions are being mobilized to address pressing national issues.

The government has emphasized the strategic importance of research institutions in driving innovation, with top leadership calling on flagship universities like the Hanoi University of Science and Technology to establish themselves as leading research centers. These institutions are being positioned to generate breakthroughs that can be translated into practical solutions for Vietnam's development priorities.

Beyond traditional research, the report signaled how science and technology are being applied across economic sectors. The medicinal plant industry, for instance, is being viewed as a growth area where scientific advancement can unlock new opportunities and enhance competitiveness.
