Tran Thanh Man commended Beijing's approach to bringing legislative work closer to grassroots communities, voters and residents in the Nanmofang district and wider capital region. The NA president noted that Vietnam places significant emphasis on legislative processes that serve the foundation of a socialist rule-of-law state governed of, by and for the people.
Effective lawmaking in Vietnam requires sustained engagement with diverse stakeholders, Tran said, including experts, intellectuals, business leaders, voters and the general public—particularly those most directly affected by new policies and legislation. This consultative model reflects Vietnam's determination to strengthen democratic institutions while advancing legal frameworks suited to the nation's development needs.
The visit to the Beijing legislative liaison office is expected to strengthen Vietnam-China ties across multiple sectors. Recent data shows bilateral trade between the two nations is expanding rapidly with substantive growth in commercial partnerships, according to Vietnamese commercial counsellors. Enhanced parliamentary cooperation serves as a key mechanism for deepening bilateral relations and facilitating policy dialogue on shared regional concerns.
