Vietnam and Oman have pledged to accelerate efforts to establish diplomatic missions in each other's capitals, according to statements following their latest political consultation on November 4. Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the two nations' foreign ministries and building greater political trust.
The fifth political consultation marked continued progress in bilateral relations between Hanoi and Muscat. Officials discussed mechanisms to facilitate high-level visits and encourage delegations to exchange experiences and explore new areas of collaboration.
The two countries have identified economic cooperation and innovation as priority areas for expanding their partnership. Officials stressed the need to leverage their complementary strengths in trade, investment, and technology-driven initiatives to benefit both nations and their peoples.
The establishment of resident diplomatic missions is expected to streamline bilateral communications and provide a more structured framework for implementing joint agreements. Both sides expressed confidence that the move would catalyze broader engagement across government, business, and civil society sectors.
