Vietnam will intensify its contributions to United Nations operations and global governance mechanisms, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung stated, underscoring the country's recognition of the organization's central and irreplaceable role in international affairs.
The Prime Minister highlighted Vietnam's sustained engagement with the UN since joining the organization nearly 50 years ago, noting that this extended partnership has generated substantial cooperation gains across numerous areas of mutual interest.
Vietnamese officials have consistently positioned the country as a reliable and constructive member of the international community, advocating for multilateral approaches to global challenges including development, security, and humanitarian concerns.
The commitment to enhanced UN participation reflects Vietnam's strategic foreign policy orientation toward deepening international engagement while maintaining its role as an active participant in regional and global peace-building initiatives. Vietnamese representatives have previously contributed to UN operations through participation in peacekeeping missions, development programs, and various specialized agencies.
