The official visit comes at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and represents a significant opportunity to deepen strategic partnership between Vietnam and Cambodia. According to Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong, the visit underscores the importance both nations place on strengthening bilateral relations across multiple sectors.

Vietnam and Cambodia have identified enhanced connectivity as a key priority, with officials signalling ambitious targets for economic expansion. The two countries are pursuing initiatives aimed at increasing trade volumes, with ambitions to reach a bilateral trade value of 20 billion USD in the coming years.

During the visit, high-level discussions are expected to focus on three core areas of cooperation: deepening trade and investment ties, improving regional connectivity, and strengthening people-to-people exchanges. These priorities reflect shared interests in fostering sustainable economic growth and regional stability.
